According to the minister of economics Giorgi Arveladze, “Saunje”, the shop, belongs to the state, but people used to trade their illegally. And composers could not register their property for years.
Minister of Economics made a statement regarding the fuss which resulted from transferring the Saunje, located in Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi and Composers' House in Borjomi to the state.
Giorgi Arveladze said that state is interested to encourage business in Georgia and create additional vacancies. They do not want to seize somebody's property: "Nobody has grabbed composers' property; they could not register the property for years. As for the Saunje, the question is too simple. The shop is state property and people were trading there without any legal basis," Arveladze commented.
