Family Violence Problem Is Discussed at the Public Defender’s Office

Today, family violence is going to be discussed at the meeting held at the Public Defender’s office. The meeting will represent the materials of the survey that was implemented by the Public Defender’s Office and Non-governmental Organization “Sakhli”. 

The goal of the survey was to find out whether there are real mechanisms to protect victims of the family violence and also to find out the factors that will encourage the effectiveness of their activities.

MPs, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations are invited to the meeting.

The law on “Prevention the family violence, protection and assistance of the victims” was adopted on May 25 2006 by the Georgian Parliament.
