Sokhumi Court Discusses the Case of Detained Georgians

Today, the Sokhumi Court discusses the preventive measures against three detained Georgians, Koba Ghachava, Levan Rigvava and Iveri Khorshia. They are supposed to be sentenced to three-month pretrial imprisonment.

According to the Abkhazian information sources, the Sokhumi Court Tribunal will try them for illegal crossing of the border and provocation. Lawyer Geno Zarandia defends the detainees’ rights.

Participants of the protest demonstration, which was held in the village of Shamgona in the Zugdidi district, were fired from the Abkhazian side. The shooting lasted nearly half an hour. As a result, the Abkhazian side detained three students.
