In Adjara Police and Opposition Supporters Had Clash

November 1, 2007
Today, in Adjara Autonomous Republic, near the Makhinjauri-Chakvi Tunnel law enforcers and supporters of United Opposition had serious fight.

Murman Dumbadze, the head of the Republic Party’s Batumi Office, said in his conversation with the Medianews that dozens of law enforcers broke down the cars of opposition supporters and physically assaulted several people. Bulldozers are placed near the tunnel.

Nearly 1 500 people intend to arrive in Tbilisi today to attend the protest demonstration on November 2.
