Opposition Set 6:00 PM as a Deadline for Government

November 2, 2007
Representatives of the United Opposition set 6:00 PM as a deadline for the government at the protest demonstration in front of the Parliament. They want to know whether Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili intends to satisfy the demands of the demonstrators.

Koka Guntsadze, Kakha Kukava, Levan Gachechiladze, Tinatin Khidasheli and Salome Zurabishvili, opposition leaders, will try to meet the president at 6:00 PM.

The demonstrators demand: to hold parliamentary elections in spring of 2008; to set up Central Election Commission on parity principles and to release political prisoners.
