On May 14, leader of the Anti-Occupation Movement Davit Katsarava, who was severely beaten by police officers and then arrested during the protest demonstration in front of the parliament, remains in the hospital. He underwent the surgery last night; his face bones are broken.

Lawyer at Human Rights Center Eka Kobesashvili defends legal interests of Davit Katsarava.

On May 14, the Special Investigative Service commenced investigation into the physical assault on Katsarava under the Article 333 Part III-b of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages exceeding official power by using violence.
