Inhabitants of former neurology institute v Telasi

Neurology Institute – one of the most significant medical institutions in the Soviet Union was located in the high building in Gudamakari Street in Tbilisi since 1980s. After socially indigent families settled in the building, its profile changed and the state assigned it on the new inhabitants. Most of the socially indigent families registered the spaces in the former building of the Neurology Institute.
Court Dispute about Guardianship of Underage Child of a Person with Cancer

22-year-old Meri Nadirashvili has cancer. Her former husband Levan Razmiashvili requests guardianship for their child. Meri Nadirashvili was diagnosed of cancer two years ago. At that moment she was three-month pregnant. Husband abandoned Meri because of the disease. The patient was operated on several times and the child was born healthy though the young woman’s health conditions worsened.
Accusations against Medical Personnel of Iashvili Medical Clinic

On March 26, 2014 Gela Didebashvili and Nino Tarimanashvili took their three-months-old infant from Temka medical clinic to Iashvili Pediatric Clinic because it was necessary to append him to the breathing apparatus. The baby has been in the Iashvili medical clinic for one year and one month. The parents claim due to negligence of the doctors the health of their baby worsened. Currently, the child has disabled status.

In accordance to the Article 14 Part I – “b” of the Prison Code of Georgia, accused/convict has right to receive both comprehensive and vocational education. Underage convicts and accused have been enjoying this right for several years already. Nowadays, juvenile convicts are placed in prison # 11 and juvenile accused people are in special facilities of Prison # 8 and Prison # 2.

Magdalena Archvadze has been claiming 100 sq. meters of plot and so called “finish wagon” on it for several years already. The plot and the wagon are located in the territory of the outdoor museum. Magdalina Archvadze said the museum gave the plot to her and she purchased the wagon from the Public Food Company.
New Program for Hepatitis C Treatment Launched in Georgia

Last week, new program of public healthcare was launched in Georgia. Before that, Government of Georgia declared 2015 as the year to fight against C Hepatitis. 200 000 people with Hepatitis C in Georgia (6.7% of Georgian population) are looking forward to the program; it aims to provide patients with medicines, diagnostic and other necessary services with high standards.

Assault on MPs in Gurjaani – Who Threw Chicken Eggs

Employees of budget-funded organizations threw chicken eggs at the MPs Giorgi Gviniashvili, Irma Nadirashvili and others from the United National Movement in the building of Gurjaani district administration. The MPs wished to attend the session of the fraction National Movement in the municipal board but they were not allowed to. Public servants from neighboring villages were purposefully mobilized in the district administration.
Court Granted Permanent Residence Permit to Citizen of Egypt

“The Counter-Intelligence Department [CID] considers it is not reasonable to grant permanent residential permit to an applicant,” citizen of Egypt Emad Ibrahim Khalil Ibrahim received this conclusion several times form the CID. As a result, State Services Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice refused to grant residence permit in Georgia without considering the propriety of the CID conclusion.

Sarvar Safarov’s historical surname is Lazishvili. He is a descendent of the Muslim Meskhs that were exiled from Georgia and after the law on repatriation was adopted in Georgia. He returned back to his homeland from Azerbaijan in May 2008. Sarvar Safarov settled in Akhaltsikhe, purchased a house with his own money and also brought his family there.

Villages on ABL without Medical Assistance

The working group of the Coalition for Rebuilding Trust visited three villages in Shida Kartli region. The Coalition members visited Arbo village alongside the occupation line, where they heard the problems of locals. Villagers complained about lack of medical service in the village. Locals have to travel to Gori to get medical assistance.

Internally displaced people could not go the cemeteries on the occupied territories on Easter Sunday. Georgian side started negotiations about the issue during the Ergneti Meeting but representatives of the Tskhinvali de-facto government refused them. Besides that meeting, Georgian governmental officials raised the issue in the Geneva Meetings too but the de-facto authority did not change its position.

Tchiatura in expectation of an ecological disaster

The population of Tchiatura district blames the company Georgian Manganese of polluting the environment. The company is obtaining and processing manganese in the region. The district majoritarian MP in Tchiatura, Malkhaz Tsereteli, said in 2014 that the environment in Georgia was damaged for 327, 5 million lari. Out of that 324 million lari, which is 99% of the total damage, is in Tchiatura municipality.
