Officers of the State Special Protection Service still guard at the residential houses of former chairman of the Adjara government Levan Varshalomidze and former chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara Mikheil Makharadze. Representatives of the new government believe it is unreasonable expenditure of budget funds.

Bribed Elections in Mountainous Adjara

United National Movement gained votes in the mountainous districts of Adjara autonomous republic in exchange of financial assistance and promises. Khulo district residents said voting for election number 5 during the elections cost 100 or 200 lari in their district; residents of Shuakhevi district said they were promised freedom of prisoner Vazha Khimshiashvili.

A tent has been set up in front of the Lanchkhuti district administration for several days already. Lately, a cell was also added in the area. We saw residents of Ozurgeti district together with Lanchkhuti residents four years ago; people from Ozurgeti turned up so-called Zviadists (supporters of the late president of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia); protesters demand resignation of the district governor.

Documentary film of the nongovernmental organization Borjgalo presents current social-legal problems of eco-migrants in Georgia. The film is mostly about eco-migrants from mountainous region of Adjara, who were resettled as a result of natural disasters; the film was prepared in the frame of the project “Advocacy for Eco-Migrants’ Interests.”

Unidentified people attacked journalist of Guriis Moambe and Rustavi 2 Vladimer Menabde in Ozurgeti; motive of this assault was not identified yet. The journalist wrote on his facebook page that Georgian Dream’s activists from Georgian Dream, with Lasha Glonti as a leader, attacked him. Georgian Dream categorically denies connection of their activists with the incident.
Directors of Senaki Organization for Public Services and Amenities Blamed in Financial Violation

The Chairman of the Fraction Georgian Dream at Senaki municipal board, Murad Shamatava, reports that Ltd Seanki Organization for Public Services and Amenities had financial violations for many years. On November 15, Shamatava sent all relevant documentation reflecting the activities of the organization to the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regional office of the Investigative Department of the Revenue Service at the Ministry of Finance.

Businessman Blames Former Poti Mayor in Oppression and Bankruptcy

After several-years silence, a businessman from Poti and owner of the agricultural market Ltd Kolkhi 21 Nodar Korsantia started speaking about seizure of his property and oppression. Korsantia said after Vakhtang Lemonjava occupied position of Poti Mayor, local agricultural market started to ruin. Law Enforcement Officers Arrested a Friend of Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava

Former director of the Tbilisi Water Gegi Kelbakiani and financial manager of the building company NCC Archil Chogovadze were interrogated at night to November 20 and then arrested. On the same day, Kelbakiani and Chogovadze were taken to the so-called Moduli building (office of the Special Operative Department of the MIA). Reportedly, Kelbakiani is a friend of Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava but as his lawyer said nobody had asked his clients about Ugulava during interrogation.
