Convention on the Rights of Child is based on four essential principles: right to life, development, protection and participation. Every country that has ratified the convention should comply with those guiding principles and Georgia is one among those countries that signed the convention on June 2 1994. Georgia is obligated to protect the fundamental rights of the child on national level.

The Special School for Cerebral Palsy is Suffering due to a Lack of Water

The Gurjaani Boarding School for Children with Cerebral Palsy is the only state establishment of its kind in Georgia. There are nearly 100 students in the school. The boarding school has not been supplied with water for seventh months already. The situation exacerbates the hard living conditions of the children.
