Repressions Still Go On

January 4, 2008

On December 30, late at night, fourteen members of the youth branch of Levan Gachechiladze’s supporters were arrested in Tbilisi. Nine of them were soon released but five others were tried on December 31 at the Administrative Collegium of the Tbilisi Civil Court.

According to the spread information the young people were charged under the Articles 166 (slight hooliganism) and 173 (cruel resistance) of the Georgian Administrative Code.

The young people were writing on the asphalt the following messages: “Remember November 7”; “Misha is a Dictator.”
