Ministry of interior Published Testimony of Vano Lomidze from Republic Party

The Ministry of Interior published the testimony of Vano Lomidze from Republic Party who pleads himself guilty.

The suspect stated that he set his car on fire for PR campaign of their party.

“During the elections in 2008 I was single mandate candidate of the Republic Party from the Kvareli district. I needed PR everyday; I always spread information about beating or attacking on somebody. I thought I could use the situation and set my own car on fire. My aim was to attract attention,” said Lomidze.

According to the Ministry expert-criminalists examined the burnt car of Vano Lomidze and surrounding territory. There they found a bottle. The expertise of the bottle demonstrated that petrol was inside it. Criminal Service took a finger-print from it that is equal to Vano Lomidze.

“The investigation found out that Vano Lomidze had ensured his car in the Insurance Company “Aldagi BCI”. Kakheti regional department of the Ministry of Interior started investigation on the fact. A witness in the case stated in his testimony that on April 27, from 11:00 to 11:30 pm Vano lomidze bought two liters of petrol in a bottle,” it was reported by the Ministry of Interior.
