May 21, 2009

Irakli Kordzaia, the representative of The Civil Movement “Why?” and Dachi Tsaguria the member of the HQ for April 9 announced at a press conference today that they, together with a special group, are going to provide the people with detailed information about corruption in the Georgian elite clique.

“In the near future we are going to release all publications exposing corruption in the Government elite,” noted Irakli Kordzaia. According to him, there will be released some publications focusing on the businesses of officials’.

We are going to provide society with detailed information about all government officials who illegally captured any kind of business. Georgia seems to follow the Russian policy. There was carried out oppression of different business in Russia and the Georgian government did the same thing in our country. The businesses of Badri Patarkatsishvili and Kibar Khalvashi are the clear examples of it,” said Dachi Tsaguria.

Tsaguria calls upon all members of the public to cooperate if they have any information about government officials’ businesses. Journalists and economic experts are cooperating with them on this issue. According to Irakli Kordzaia, they are releasing the first publication about the family of Kodua on Monday.
