Parliamentary Opposition Applies to the President to Veto the Draft-law on Manifestation

Parliamentary opposition appeals to the President Saakashvili to veto the draft-law about holding demonstrations and to veto the changes acknowledged by the Parliament. One of the main issues, the MPs from the opposition parties will discuss with the President on July 20, is the draft-law about holding demonstrations. The debates about the mentioned draft-law will continue at the special meeting of the Parliament today. The Christian-democrats complained about the procedural issues. The Parliament will discuss the draft-law with the final third hearing today. The Christian-democrats demanded to postpone the third hearing of the draft-law for the next week. The chairman of the Parliament balloted on the issue but majority voted for the immediate discussion, the demand of the Christian-democrats was not accepted.
