Sandro Girgvliani’s Family’s Appeal is not Satisfied

July 22, 2010

According to the Sandro Girgvliani’s family’s lawyer, The Tbilisi Appeal Court’s decided to uphold their previous verdict. This did not please his family.

The Tbilisi City Court assigned a 40 thousand GEL fine to the convicts of Girgvliani’s murder instead of the 200 thousand that was demanded by the family. The Girgvliani family is planning to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.

On April 29, 2010 ECHR held a hearing of the “Enukidze-Girgvliani vs. Georgia”. A decision has not yet been made on the case.
