Israel Includes Georgia in the list of Dangerous Countries

April 8, 2011

Israel includes Georgia in the list of dangerous countries, reports the Israeli media.

Israeli Headquarters for the Struggle against Terrorism included Georgia and Armenia in the list of the countries where the Israelis may be kidnapped or acts of terrorisms be carried out against them. The headquarters recommend Israeli citizens to restrain from visiting these countries prior to the holiday of Passover.

According to the specialists of Headquarters, the danger in the listed countries comes from the terrorists of Hezbollah and Hamas. They consider that the close tie with Iran creates danger in Georgia and Armenia.

The list also includes other Post-Soviet countries – Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. Turkmenistan has been taken out of the list.

Georgia and Armenia were once included in the list of dangerous countries on February 11 of 2011. This step was related to the liquidation of one of the leaders of Hezbollah at that time Imad Mungie. Georgia was taken out of the list on February 24th.
