Drunken Officials of District Administration Broke Into Journalist’s House

April 26, 2011
The incident occurred in Dedoplistskaro. Drunken officials of the district administration broke into the house of the local journalist Tamila Gurashvili and cursed her.

The journalist said she called police but the police officers arrived late. She added the officials of the Dedoplistskaro district had a party in the family of technical specialist of the administration Otar Kovziridze, who is her neighbor.

Dedoplistskaro district governor Nikoloz Shanshiashvili told the Information Center of Kakheti he did not know about the incident. “I cannot say anything; I had no idea about it and I will find out everything,” said the governor.

The criminal investigation was launched on the incident. Dedoplistskaro district police department is investigating the case.

Otar Kovziridze threatened the local journalists short time ago. He demanded journalist Ilia Martkoplishvili to remove the letter from his blog and otherwise he threatened him with physical assault. Nobody responded on the fact then.
