December 22, 2011

The representatives of public movement Georgian Dream led by Bidzina Ivanishvili cannot manage to rent offices for regional branches in Kakheti. Kakheti office of Human Rights Center disseminates this information.

According to human rights organization, some natural persons are refusing to rent out offices to representatives of Georgian Dream due to outside pressure.

“Officials of Kakheti Agency of Constitutional Security Department are pressuring private owners. They were threatened with drug and gun planting and arrest. According to our information, Davit Lortkipanidze, brother of deputy head of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) Gia Lorktkipanidze supervises this issue,” – representatives of oppositional parties noted at the meeting held in Kakheti office of Human Rights Center. The meeting regarded facts of politically motivated persecutions.
