January 8, 2013

Erosi Kitsmarishvili-owned Rustavi Media Management Company has lodged a complaint against Maestro in order to retrieve the dissolved contracts and investments made.

Today, January 5, the court started hearing of the dispute between Maestro and Rustavi Media Management Company.

According to Rustavi Media Management Company lawyer Gocha Svanidze, the company, on the motive of ungrounded abrogation of the contracts, demands  Maestro to pay out the compensation of GEL 2, 500, 000.

“Kitsmarishvili’s party resorts to the means of demagogy bringing up the subject of millions. Today Erosi Kitsmarishvili has demanded GEL 16 millions for blackening his reputation,”- said Director General of Maestro Ilia Kikabidze reporting to Media.Ge

The court’s decision will be announced on January 9, at 15:00 p.m.

“The last legal procedure between Rustavi Media Management Company and Maestro took place on December 21, 2012. Maestro was at the time demanding GEL 800, 000 from the channel owner Rustavi Media Management Company, for the damage of TV Company-owned equipment.

On December 21, Tbilisi City Court partly upheld Maestro’s complaint, obliging Rustavi Media Management Company to pay GEL 300,000.
