Mamuka Mikautidze’s wife says his husband was forced to give false testimony

Investigators had been questioning Mamuka Mikautidze’s wife till 5 am. According to lawyer Gagi Mosiashvili, Mikautidze’s wife talked in detail about the violations that took place during her husband’s interrogation.

‘According to Zizi Edzgveradze, the wife of Mamuka Mikautidze, her husband told her that investigators got information from him forcedly and that the information was not true’, the lawyer said.

Reports say Mamuka Mikautidze, 36, committed suicide. Prior to that, he was arrested and interrogated by police for several hours. Before the suicide, he called to family members and told them he was forced to give false testimony against his friends. 

The family members suspect Mamuka Mikautidze was murdered.

News
