Election office of Davit Bakradze, presidential candidate of the United National Movement, will be officially opened in Gori on September 27. The presidential candidate of the UNM will also arrive in Gori on that day. Before that, party members are active to staff precinct election commissions with their representatives.

“We will have one commission member and one observer in every precinct. We are working hard and change the party activists. Upcoming elections are very important and we hope Bakradze will win because the new government has made as many mistakes during eight months as we had made during eight years. Hate speech has become a serious problem as well as selective justice as a result of what secretary general of our party is in prison now; the economy is regressing; everything is stopped. We need the president, who regardless the restricted authority, will manage to balance the government. Davit Bakradze is the right person for this purpose; he is also a good diplomat, has experience and support from the population. I want to remind the ruling party that it is not democracy to split the political parties, who lost the elections. The loser party shall stay in politics,” chairman of the UNM’s Gori office and member of the municipal board Zviad Khmaladze said.

UNM is waiting for the international organizations to publish ratings of the presidential candidates. They hope Bakradze will rank the first place in the polls.
