Fake TV Report-Related Phone Recording Examined

A recorded phone conversation, implicating President Saakashvili of being behind Imedi TV’s fake news broadcast on renewed war, is genuine, although it may have been tampered through deletion of some parts of the conversation, according to findings of examination by London-based business intelligence and corporate investigations firm GPW.

So-called simulated Chronicle released by the TV-Company Imedi on March13 informed the people about the new war with Russia. Besides moral damage, it caused fatal results for the people. Although, the number of the dead people is not estimated, three families are openly claiming that their family members died because of the simulated Chronicle.

I know that everybody is fed up with the statements about the simulated reportage of the TV Company Imedi released on March 13. Only the word “simulated” remained in our memories from the reportage which is actively used in ordinary speech of Tbilisi dwellers. For example, “don’t you feel a bit simulated?”
