Teimuraz Arabuli appointed to the position of the head of the Pankisi Gorge Police Sub-Division

Teimuraz Arabuli was appointed to the position of the head of the Duisi sub-division of the Akhmeta municipality department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Teimuraz Arabuli was born on September 14, 1961. From 1996 to 2001, during the crisis in the Pankisi Gorge, he was head of the Akhmeta police. He is a close friend of the former head of the Kakheti regional police department Tamaz Tamazashvili.
Staff list of the Gori municipality mayor was criticized

The staff list presented by the newly elected Gori municipality mayor was criticized in Gori. Mayor Konstantine Tavzarashvili presented the list of staff members in the Gori municipality assembly, according to which he intended to have three advisors, an assistant and a consultant. The majority of the assembly supported the list of new staff members. Opposition members and civil society organizations criticized the mayor and the majority members in the assembly for this decision.
Local self-government elections in Kaspi municipality – incident in Samtavisi village precinct

6 candidates fought for the position of the Kaspi municipality mayor in the local self-government elections. According to the preliminary results of the CEC, mayoral candidate of the Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia Manuchar Merebashvili won the first round. He gained 64,76% of the voters (10 471 votes). UNM mayoral candidate Aleksandre Shakarashvili took the second place with 16, 31% of votes (2 638 votes). Mayoral candidate of the Alliance of Patriots Mamuka Bekauri received 10, 51% of votes (1700 votes). Dimitry Gorgadze of the European Georgia – 5.8% (938 votes); Natia Bakhtadze of the Republic Party – 2% (323 votes) and Nugzar Gagua of the Traditionalists – 0.61% (98 votes).
Election violations and results in Gori municipality

Nine mayoral candidates contested in the local self-government elections in Gori. The mayoral candidate of the ruling party Konstantine Tavzarashvili won the elections in the first round. 54,9% of voters – 22 947 persons, who arrived at the polling stations, voted for him. UNM mayoral candidate Revaz Kakhniashvili ranked the second place with 15,19 % - 6 679 votes. Acting governor and the candidate of the Movement for Construction Davit Oniashvili received 4 908 votes, that made up 11, 71% of the voters.
Election results and evaluation of the election process in Kareli municipality

According to the preliminary results of the local self-government elections, candidate of the ruling party and acting municipal governor Zaza Guliashvili was elected to the Mayor of Kareli municipality; he received 10 450 votes that made up 65,97% of the voters, who participated in the elections. UNM mayoral candidate Nikoloz Akhalkatsi ranked the second place with 18.73%. Mayoral candidate of the election bloc Bakradze-Ugulava European Georgia Marlen Lomitashvili gained 8.87% of the votes and took the third place. Zurab Kveladze of the Alliance of Patriots received 5.4% of votes (855 votes). Mayoral candidate of the Election bloc Giorgi Vashadze, Unity for New Georgia Genadi Mamagulashvili received 1.04% of votes (164 votes).
