Socially Disabled People Are Compelled to Attend Pre-Election Meetings of the National Movement

May 20, 2010
In Akhmeta district, the socially disabled people, who receive allowances within the poverty reduction state program, are compelled to attend the pre-election meeting of the National Movement.

The representatives of the Akhmeta district election HQ of the Alliance for Georgia reported that on May 18, Kakheti regional governor Giorgi Ghviniashvili, who is leader of the Kakheti regional HQ of the ruling party, met the candidates of the National Movement and the voters in Zhaluri district.

“Two hours before the meeting, the agent of the social agency Tengiz Iosebashvili visited and warned socially disabled people living in the district to attend the meeting,” said the representatives of the Alliance for Georgia.

The Akhmeta office of the Social Agency did not comment on the participation of their agent in the pre-election campaign of the National Movement.
