Nato Megutnishvili confirms that Enri Kobakhidze Had Been Oppressed Before the Attack

November 16, 2010
The former head of Telavi independent TV company Tanamgzavri (satellite) Information Service Nato Megutnishvili confirms that Enri Kobakhidze had been oppressed by different individuals before the attack.

“Years ago, when Gocha Mamatsashvili was the head of Telavi region city council, the attempt of Kobakhidze’s arrest took place. It would be big injustice if it happens again. Enri Kobakhidze is not someone who could inflict damages on himself as some policemen testify. When we worked together, he numerous times talked about the oppression and facts of violence implemented against him,” – states Nato Megutnishvili.

The former head of Telavi TV information service calls on the journalists in Kakheti to unification.

As a reminder: the director of TV company Tanamgzavri (satellite) Enri Kobakhidze was wounded by knife. Kobakhidze was inflicted with a waste injury.

As Enri Kobakhidze stated to Kakheti Information Center, the incident took place in the village Pshavela of Telavi region where he was attending his relative’s wedding. Enri Kobakhidze was attacked by the officer of special service unit Gela Chvritidze. Kobakhidze links this fact to his professional activities.
