Voters Registered in Unreal Flats

August 23, 2012
Non-existing voters were detected in three residential buildings in Tsereteli and Jalgania Streets in Tkibuli. Two of those three buildings are almost ruined. Non-existing voters were discovered by Georgian Dream Tkibuli district organization which was verifying voters’ list.

Asmat Jelia Head of Georgian Dream’s Tkibuli office said: “Verification procedure revealed that there are registered voters on ruined houses. Those people have not lived here and are registered at other address. 150 voters are registered on this three flats, which is good way to falsify elections”.

Representatives of the Tkibuli District Election Commission #57 state their duty is not to hinder anybody’s right to vote. Removal of those voters from ruined houses leaves them unable to vote because they are not registered in other address.
