Lists Are Verified in Khoni

September 12, 2012

Khoni District Election Commission #55 finished working on election lists. There are 29 precincts and 24 259 voters are registered in the district.

No violations were observed in the DEC and no political subjects have filed complaints yet. The political parties involved in the election marathon in Khoni confirm this fact but they pay attention to special precincts. There is psychiatric institution and military unit in Khoni municipality and two more precincts might be opened there.

Ia Kuchukhidze, chairwoman of the Khoni DEC stated: “If over 50 voters are registered in the psychiatric institution it will be possible to open precinct there. But if there are less than 50 voters, we will attach it to the portable ballot-box in Kutiri village. Supposedly, we will need to open a polling station in the military unit”.
