An Incident in the Session Hall of the Parliament

December 21, 2012

On December 18, a small part of ceiling fell down in the parliament’s session hall. The incident occurred when MPs were discussing set of issues.

Chairman of the Parliament Davit Usupashvili suggested colleagues to be calm and said there was no necessity to call either ambulance or police. He said changed temperature had caused the incident.

“Do not panic; apparently changed temperature, namely frosts, caused the incident. Luckily, nobody’s health is in danger; the parliament will fund reparation of the damaged ceiling,” said Usupashvili.

After the incident the MPs checked the hall ceiling and continued working in the hall in ordinary regime.
