Vani District MP Summoned to Prosecutor’s Office

December 24, 2012

Vani majoritarian MP Paata Lezhava was summoned to prosecutor’s office for interrogation but he is not going to go there.

Prosecutor’s office intends to question Lezhava with regard to the physical assault of businessman Mamuka Sharashenidze in the Vani office of the National Movement.

Lezhava said three days before the Election Day, when businessman was assaulted, he was not in the office. Before the court passes final verdict, MP Paata Lezhava and Vani district governor Davit Kakabadze are free under bail.

Paata Lezhava said he is not going to appear at the prosecutor’s office because government is persecuting him and Davit Kakabadze on political ground.
