New Chairman of a Commission at Kutaisi City Council Is Former Member of the United National Movement

August 7, 2013
Shorena Kakabadze, Imereti

“Erratic people gathered in the Georgian Dream. As a result, Kutaisi City Hall and City Council turned into trading counters,” head of Imereti regional organization of the political party Free Georgia Giorgi Tsulaia said to protest appointment of the former member of the National Movement Akaki Sikharulidze to the position of the chairman for the agricultural commission.

“During presidential elections of 2008, Akaki Sikharulidze was deputy head of an election precinct in Kutaisi. Based on his directives his friend, member of the opposition political party, was arrested. Today, this person [Sikharulidze] was welcomed to the Georgian Dream and he was appointed on senior position,” Giorgi Tsulaia said.

Head of Imereti organization of Free Georgia calls upon the government of Georgia and Prime Minister to get interested in the current situation in Kutaisi City Hall and City Council.
