Giorgi Margvelashvili’s Pre-Election Campaign in Gori

Presidential candidate of the ruling party started his pre-election campaign from Mejvriskhevi village in Gori district. He met the population, listened to their problems and presented the plans of the government. Margvelashvili spoke about opening of the Russian market for Goergia and promised peasants from Gori district that Russian market will be available for them from the next year.

Local socially indigent residents urged Margvelashvili for help; the candidate said that government is working for the reduction of poverty and improvement of social situation in the country. The candidate was also requested to improve village infrastructure and rehabilitation of culture house.

From Mejvriskhevi village Margvelashvili arrived in Variani; the locals had same problems and the candidate’s promises were the same too; Margvelashvili visited Iakob Gogebashvili’s museum in Variani and arriving in Gori, he appealed to his supporters from the stage in the square of Gori Giorgi Eristavi Drama Theatre:

“Georgia has one government and one problem-maker. People and government are indivisible; I have same insurance as you; we will resolve problems together and I hope Kartli region will be as stubborn as you were last October and we will celebrate the victory together,” Margvelashvili appealed to the voters.

Minister of Finances Nodar Khaduri, member of parliamentary majority Leri Khabelov and chairman of Gori municipal board Davit Razmadze accompanied him in Gori. Singer Irma Sokhadze opened Margvelashvili’s pre-election campaign in Gori.
