George Kervalishvili Demands the Discharge of Mkalavishvili and Other Prisoners

In respond to the statement of the Prime-Minister Zurab Zhvania, the members of the Human Rights’ Defense Association held a special briefing in the flat of Lasha Katsanashvili. Katsanashvili, who is under age, was detained during an action near the Ministry of Economics.

’’We demand the three prisoners, detained at the action through the violation of procedural rules, be discharged immediately. Herewith, eight prisoners of conscience must also be released without delay, among them are: Basil Mkalavishvili and his parish members,’’ Kervalishvili stated.

We would like to remind you, that Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania asked the Ministry of Security for the following investigation: who finances the protesters of anti – privatization actions.
