The Action Brought against the Minister of Culture

Tbilisi. Media News. Tamaz Vashakidze, the former head of Tbilisi Choreographic Institute, brought suit in the District Court of Tbilisi against the Minister of Culture.

According to Vashakidze, his dismissal was an illegal action and his rights have been violated.

“The 34th Article of the Labour Code reads that the head of Choreographic Institute should have, naturally, a choreographic education. The law was broken when Zviad Bakradze, a lawyer by training, was appointed to the position of the head of the Institute” stated Tamaz Vashakidze.

According to him, there was a further violation with the document of his dismissal  dated 23 August when Bakradze was appointed on the position on 17 August.
