Anti-monopoly Service Turned into Free Trading and Competitiveness Agency

Tbilisi.23.12.04.Media News. “Anti-monopoly Service is still perceived as a controlling system. It will not continue like that from now on” – stated Natia Turnava, Deputy Minister of Economy at the presentation of change of Anti-monopoly Service into quite a new facility.

From 2005 Anti-monopoly Service will be called Free Trading and Competitiveness Agency. The Agency will defend the interests of the customers and entrepreneurs. Its obligations will also include the regulation of competitiveness on the market.

The Agency is supposed to be led by Emzar Jgerenaia, current Head of Anti-monopoly Service.

Besides the experts in the issues of economics the presentation was also attended by Jemal Inaishvili, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Georgia.
