TV Company "Alania's" Anchor's House Shot at in Tskhinvali

Unknown attackers shot at the house of TV station "Alania's" anchor Vladimer Sanakoev in Tskhinvali, the incident took place in the early morning on February 14. According to TV station "Rustavi 2", Vladimer Snakoev's sister was in the house at the time. The attackers even tried to blow up the house; however, the neighbors hindered them.

According to certain sources, the attackers were the representatives of unrecognized South Ossetian republic's law enforcement bodies.

Vladimer Sanakoev's family has been persecuted in Tskhinvali after President Mikheil Saakashvili personally gave him a Georgian passport. After that Sanakoev was expelled from Tskhinvali.

TV company "Alania" launched its programs in November last year. Leadership of the unrecognized republic called the TV company "Georgian Special Forces' Channel". However, official Tbilisi has made no comments in connection with that.
